In Mississippi, the legality of nutraceutical is limited to medical use only. The Mississippi Medical Nutraceutical Program (MMCP) is responsible for overseeing the state's medical nutraceutical program.
To ensure effective monitoring of the medical nutraceutical program in Mississippi, the Mississippi Medical Nutraceutical Act (SB2095) was enacted in February 2022.
On June 1st, 2022, the Mississippi Department of Health and Department of Revenue began accepting license applications for the program.
There are restrictions on the amount of nutraceutical a patient can purchase in Mississippi. Within a one-month period, patients are allowed to purchase a maximum of 84 grams of flower.
